Originally a concert pianist, Marsha discovered her true passion was teaching children and adults to play the piano, a career she's been pursuing for thirty four years. She began studying the piano at the age of 6 in Kharkov, Russia (today is Ukraine). There she obtained a degree that trained her to be a piano teacher and accompanist. In addition, she has a master's degree from the Kharkov Musical conservatory. Marsha is an active member of the New England Piano Teacher's Association (NEPTA). Marsha believes that studying the piano expands our minds, especially the minds of children. Research shows that children who take piano lessons academically outperform their non-piano playing counterparts. Many of Marsha's students have gone on to study at universities as well as prestigious musical institutions.
"I've been taking piano lessons with Marsha for six years. She's simply the greatest piano teacher I've ever had.
I'm playing songs now that I never dreamed I'd be able to play."
Julie Nardone, Student
We went through three piano teachers before we found Marsha. She is passionately committed to teaching
and there is no room for mediocrity. The interest and devotion to her students is rare among teachers and I
cant' imagine that there is anyone more qualified to teach a child piano than Marsha."
Kate Evans-Correia, Parent
"Our daughter was six years old when she started taking piano lessons with Marsha and she enjoys taking classes
with Marsha greatly. We were lucky to find a piano teacher who is so professional in teaching children. Marsha
has a personal touch in providing solid musical education in accordance with her students' individual talents.
Beginning or continuing piano students will learn a lot by taking lessons with a teacher like Marsha."
